September 2006

8^th We got off to a very late start. ( Friday ) 7:15pm to be exact. We are going to millsite start park. It's about 88 miles or so from Spanish Fork. The drive was good. Not much to see because it was getting dark. We brought Alexis' friend Madison with us. That should be fun for her. By the time we got to our campsite it was after 9:00pm So we didn't get to do much. Set up the tent for the girls. They stayed up late talking!

9^th Ryan was up early this morning 7:15am So him for a walk. Alexis and Madison were awake, so they came with us. It was a bit chilly but fun. We had pancakes and then went into the town ferron and watched the parade for the towns peach days. It was a small parade for their Peach Days but they threw a lot of candy! Afterwards they had a few activities for the kids: pig chase which the girls did – a money pit – where you did through sawdust to find change, they also had a huge blowup slide and bounce house. We got some free hotdogs and pop and watched the soapbox derby for awhile. It was pretty neat to be able to do all of that stuff. Good timing. We got back to our trailer and no sooner had we got into our trailer and there was a huge thunder claps! A few moments later the rain started. It lasted quiet awhile!

Our friends the smiths Zeke Hill and their 4 kids are all here also and some of their friends. We take up 5 campsites and so we have the whole area to us. Its nice we went to a burger joint in town called the grub box. It was pretty cold out. We ate at the park across the street. It has been pretty cold! Dave and Trenton have gone to the demolition derby that's happening tonight. I would of liked to go but Ryan wouldn't have done very well in the cold.... Brrrrrrr!

Dave and Tre went to the Derby. They said it was pretty neat. After they got back we roasted marshmallows Yummmmm!

10^th Sometime in the middle of the night our heat stopped working. I woke up freezing! All of our power was gone too. (We blew a fuse) So we tried to charge our battery but no luck. It was a fun time even though we froze a little in the morning. Alexis enjoyed having Madison be with us.
