October 11th

The Teasdales have arrived at little Sahara! Its about 25 miles from Nephi. Welcome to the sand dunes. We arrived last night at around 9pm it was dark so we had to try and find a good site. Soon after we camped Paul had a campfire and everyone stayed up until midnight. Ryan had a hard time going to sleep. It was a cold night. This morning after breakfast, I went for a walk with Ryan and some of the other kids. They had a lot of fun walking on the trails. As soon as we got back to camp. I went and got two safety flags for paul and our go-karts. Soon after we installed them, we took off towards the trails. We were timid at first and stayed close but soon we decided to explore. The dirt trails soon became more and more sandy as we approached the sand dunes. It was AWESOME! We had so much fun, it made the go-kart purchase finally worth it. We spent at least 4 hours on them. We had all sorts of fun and problems. Ryan even rode around on Pauls 4 wheel all by himself. The go-kart crapped out a few times. We used the rest of the starter fluid and used the whole battery jumper restarting it over and over. In the end it was a real blast. Michelle and her family came down with Ken's Mom - Val - who is visiting from Canada. Avril, Mick and Gran came as well. They stayed for dinner and roasting marshmallows, which surprised us, because gran doesn’t stay up late and they still had an hour drive home.

October 12th

We left this morning and after we got out of the state park, we parked on the side of the road and shot Dave’s handguns and shotgun. Pauls kids did too. It was a little cold but fun! Here are the family’s highlights of the trip.

Trenton: Going to the sand dunes and jumping off of them into the sand.

Alexis: Walking to the sand dunes with Marisa, Josh, Tyler and Kaitlyn

Valerie: Going in the go-kart and having a camp fire

Ryan: Riding on Pauls little yellow 4 wheeler all by himself.

Dave: Riding in the go-kart and singing songs around the camp fire.

Sabrina: Riding in the go-kart with my kids even if it broke down on us over and over and over and over.
