19th Today we had a late start to LasVegas. We are going down to
meet up with a bunch of guys that Dave plays World of Warcraft with on the
internet. A nerd convention I say. We left about 5:30. We had some things going
on this morning and afternoon, that’s why we left so late. We got at the oasis RV
park ($80 2 nights ) about 11:45pm So straight to bed we went. The drive was
the same as always but it was cool to come into Vegas at night to see all of
the lights.
20th After breakfast and a slow morning we went to the Las Vegas
Outlets. We did some shopping. Trenton got a leather jacket he has been wanting;
Alexis got an outfit Dave some shorts. I found a Motherhood store and got some
much needed shirts on sale! (I’m expecting our 4th) After that we
got on the GPS and found the house where Dave was meeting his friends! Well as
soon as we walked in the door and saw a bunch of guys, I knew the kids and I
weren't going to stay. So we stayed for awhile and then I took the kids to the
pool at the RV Park. They swam for awhile and then we went out trying to find a
haircut place for me... no luck! So once it was dark, the kids and I drove the
strip. They liked the lights on all the casinos, but they didn't like all of
the posters and signs of women who weren't wearing a whole lot of clothes.
There was this driving billboard that kept driving right next to us that had
some of those women on it. Trenton and Alexis were very upset about it. So I
had to get ahead of it so they kids could enjoy the drive. When Dave finally
called me to pick him up, we took the kids to Excalibur to the midway and
wasted about $20 there. Dave won Trenton and Alexis cute dogs playing this game
that is kind of like plinko on the price is right. A ball gets shot up and
falls down onto a bunch of metal poles that makes it bounce this way and that.
Then you have to catch the ball at the bottom. It’s harder than it sounds. The
next game we played was the shoot water game. You shoot water onto a target and
your boat moves down. Well I love that game, and I WON! There were like 13
other people playing so I won a big prize. It kind of looked like a care bear.
So I gave it to Valerie. We went to a dart game next. Dave likes to play these
games. You have to throw the dart and get it into the white part of the star.
Well Dave missed, so I gave it a try and got it! I was so surprised! I won a
little lava lamp. It was neat after we left, it was a really late, so we came
back and I made the kids spagettio's at about 1 in the morning. Then we went to
bed. So Sleepy.
21st Today we left Las
Vegas and are heading to mesquite to stay at CasaBlanca. They have an RV park
there. The swimming pool is really neat. It has a huge waterfall mountain in
the middle. When we got here it seemed hotter here than in Vegas. The cold
water is never cold! It is always warm! Since it is Sunday we aren't going to
go swimming. So we just kind of hung out in the trailer.
22nd Today we went swimming. The water was really cold and tasted
horrible. Way too much chlorine! Afterwards we came back had lunch and had the
kids watch a movie, while Dave and I took a nap. Afterwards we went to the
Virgin River Casino and played in the arcade and the kids did so well with
getting tickets! Alexis and Trenton each got a white shell necklace and some
other trinkets. Valerie had some help with getting her tickets. Dave and I
helped her. She got a pony pen and a fan and some other trinkets. The kids went
bowling after that. It was neat because it was cosmic bowling. The balls were glowing
and there was all of these cool lights. For dinner we went to the Casa Blanca
buffet. It was pretty good everyone ate well but Valerie! Tomorrow we are going
home.
